WiE Inspire at University of Manchester

‘WiE inspire @ UniManchester’ is the first event jointly hosted by The Women in Economics Initiative e.V. and the BSc Economics Society of University Manchester. WiE is proud to bring the first ‘WiE inspire’ event, which relates to the main series launched and managed at the University of Bonn, to the UK and to engage in new inspiring discussions with the student body in Manchester! The first hybrid ‘WiE inspire’ event hosted at the University of Manchester is a panel discussion with Dr. Ginevra Floridi (Lecturer, University of Edinburgh), Dr. Bryanna Duca (Data Scientist, Starbucks), and Nora Brüning (Policy Analyst, OECD) on navigating key career junctures. We will discuss the speaker’s career path, work, and research. Furthermore, we will also briefly discuss the intersection between their work and gender identity. We hope to bring together women academics and professionals in the public and private sectors to share their work and experiences with young economists!
