Brown Bag Seminar Series

WiE Brown Bag Seminar Series

The Women in Economics Brown Bag Seminar Series is an informal, research-focused space designed to support academic exchange among our members. Inspired by the tradition of “brown bag” seminars—casual lunchtime talks where researchers gather to share and discuss ongoing work—this series provides an accessible platform to present work-in-progress, explore early-stage ideas, or talk through specific research challenges in a constructive and collegial environment.

Sessions are held online on the first Friday of every month during lunchtime (12 -1 pm). Each session typically includes a short presentation followed by an open discussion, giving participants the chance to receive feedback and connect with peers from across institutions and fields.

The series is open to all WiE members active in academia, and we particularly encourage early-career researchers to take advantage of this opportunity. If you’re interested in presenting in an upcoming session, please reach out—we’d love to hear from you!
