Does increased legal infrastructure empower victims to leave abusive relationships?

With a lack of security and assistance being one potential factor for victims of intimate partner violence's inability to leave their abusive partner, and with over two-thirds of female victims in Europe neither reporting incidents nor being able to access support, this is a question we must grapple with. In her seminar, Schäper will discuss the importance of legal and supportive services in enabling exits such as divorce for victims potentially trapped in abusive partnerships.
