Meet The Team

Tabea is a Ph.D. Candidate in law and economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She’s passionate about finding solutions for more sustainability in corporate supply chains and studying the effectiveness of existing regulations in this field. In her free time, she loves running, hiking, and skiing, and you also often find her on her yoga mat or in a café with friends or a good book.

Clara is a Ph.D. student in economics at the Ruhr-University in Bochum. Her research interest is in empirical political economics and economics of migration. At WiE, she will assist in the administrative work of the finance team, while in her free time she likes reading, hiking, and singing in a choir.

Jayla is a student pursuing her bachelors in Business Administrations at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is interested in working in the non-profit industry after graduating, specifically in the finance sector. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, reading, or snowboarding with friends and family.

Insa works as a Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, where she helps monitor and improve one of the Netherlands' most ambitious innovation programs. Before that, she worked at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis for three years, contributing to economic analyses and prognoses around the healthcare sector, innovation policy and housing. She completed her PhD on lifelong learning and active labour market policies in Hannover, Germany. In her free time, she enjoys time with her partner and kids and likes to move outside. Insa co-founded WiE’s mentoring programme in 2021 which she highly recommends to everyone.

Paola is from Peru and has a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda.  She has a special interest in Macroeconomic topics, such as economic inequality, economic growth, and geopolitical fragmentation. In her free time, she likes traveling, dancing, and learning new things.
