Meet The Team

Aastha is from India, currently pursuing a Masters in Financial Economics at Barcelona School of Economics. Before this, she was part of the Women in Economics and Policy programme in India, which helped shape how she sees the world. She has done research on gender inequalities and has been lucky to be mentored by inspiring women. WiE feels like the perfect place for her to give back and support others like she was.

Olympia is a behavioral economist consultant who works applying behavioral insights into different environments. She has also worked in various academic institutions as a researcher on gender economics exploring topics such as platform economy, social psychology and normative perceptions. She contributes periodically to the economic public debate by writing articles, speaking at conferences and being a guest on radio programs.

Taylor Schenker is a designer and self-proclaimed data nerd. Academically trained in both Economics and Resilient Urban Design, Taylor uses her experience working in data analysis and graphic representation to produce beautiful graphics that explain complex information. In her free time Taylor enjoys reading, exercising outside, and spending time with her rescue dog Hallie!

Shashi is a part of WiE’s Social Media Team. She is a sophomore in Westchester County, New York, and has always had an interest in economics. Currently, she is a staff writer at the Junior Economics Club of NYC and the lead volunteer for the Westchester County Chapter of Sewa International, a 501(c)3 international non-profit. In her free time, Shashi enjoys taking care of her hamsters, watching Gossip Girl, and hanging out with friends and family.

Ayana is a second-year student at the National Law University Delhi. She is a 10m national rifle shooter. She loves to read, write, debate, basically everything that entails brainstorming and getting to know about others, and working on social causes.
